About Auto Shop Index

Auto Shop Index is a directory of independent auto repair, collision and body shops, organised by city. Every listing gives a visitor what they need to choose and reach a shop: the address, phone number, hours and the work the shop does.

How listings are ordered

Each city page opens with featured shops. Featured shops are customers of Lead Oracle AI, the company that runs this directory and builds websites for local businesses. Being featured gives a shop a fuller listing at the top of its city page; it does not mean Auto Shop Index has inspected, rated or endorsed the shop.

Every other shop is listed free of charge and ordered by distance from the city, nearest first. Separately, our "best" lists rank shops on published credentials; featured shops are never scored or ranked there. See How we rank.

Where the information comes from

Featured listings come from the shops themselves. All other listings come from OpenStreetMap, the open map built by volunteers, and are shown with an address and a phone number or website. That data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and available under the Open Database License.

Corrections

If a non-featured listing is wrong or a shop has closed, correct it on OpenStreetMap; the change appears here at the next update. Hours and phone numbers change, so call ahead before visiting any shop.
